Later the same day long time hold-in Trey Hendrickson finally signed a 1 year 30 million dollar deal with the Bengals. The two sides had engaged in a lengthy battle with a compromise apparently being found between the two.

The Bengals, who have struggled defensively will be at least better than they were before bringing back the sacks leader from last season.

What This Means for the NFL as a Whole

McLaurin and Hendrickson were two of the last big stories of the summer for the NFL. With the season soon approaching both the Bengals and Commanders will look to compete for a super bowl or at least the playoffs. The signings only stiffens the competition for a playoff spot in both the AFC and NFC. The next big contract story seems to have shifted to the Las Vegas Raiders, who, after an eventful summer are in a contract dispute with Jakobi Meyers who was requested a trade. They, much like the Commanders and Bengals will look to get a deal done soon… before it’s too late.
